Frequently Asked Questions

So... whatchya wanna know?

Do we need reservations?

Walk-ins are always welcome and you do not need a reservation. We do request parties of 5 or more, or groups with specific needs contact us or reserve seating before your visit but if you just happen to walk past and smell our amazing cajun boiling pot and walk in, we will certainly do our best to accommodate you.

Can we reserve balcony seating?

Right now, balcony seating is first come, first serve, although we are working on a new reservation system that will allow for this in the very near future.

Can we do separate checks within a group?

Unfortunately, our current POS (point of sale system) does not allow for this, BUT, we do allow multiple payment methods on a single ticket, meaning if you have a table of 4 and want us to split the bill on to 4 separate credit or debit cards, we will be more than happy to accommodate. If your server says otherwise, please ask for the manager on duty to assist.

Do you have a waiting area for a table?

Unfortunately we do not have an area large enough to accommodate those waiting for a table to become available and patrons waiting for available seating must wait out front or at the bar (if a small party with no minors). We are currently working on a new reservation system that will allow text messaging when a table is open that will be available soon.

Are bathrooms handicap accessible?

We regret that we do not have downstairs bathrooms. Our building was built over 200 years ago and the bathrooms are upstairs and rather small by today’s standards. We hope to one day rectify this, but making major changes to a historic French Quarter building is a very difficult process.

Are Crawfish available all year?

No, generally, the crawfish season in Louisiana runs from early-January through late-July for crawfish caught in the wild, with the peak months being March, April and May. Depending on our crazy weather, it can start earlier or last longer, but since we don’t ship them in from out of Louisiana, there are out of season times when we do not have Crawfish available. But the Jumbo Shrimps rock and are always ready to eat!

Are you Smoke Free?

Yes, we are a no-smoking restaurant, even on our balcony.

Can we bring in drinks with us?

No, Louisiana liquor laws are very strict about this. While it is very easy to leave an establishment with a “to-go” cup of your favorite spirits, you are not allowed to enter another establishment that sells alcohol with it. This is a state policy and not our own, we apologize for any confusion or inconvenience these laws cause.

The food was absolutely amazing! We sat on the upstairs balcony and watched riverboats go by. The seafood platter was certainly one of the best I've had.
